Steve Davoli recently spoke to engineering firms in Syracuse and Binghamton on some of the contract clauses most relevant to their practices.  The presentation included real world case law demonstrating how a well/poorly written contract clause can effect the outcome of a legal proceeding. 
Members of the Firm's Design Professional Defense department hosted a breakfast for local design professionals to present an AIA Continuing Education accredited seminar "Conflict Resolution - Winning the Conflict".  Contract clauses were also discussed.

Sugarman Law Firm Attends AIA Design Convention
Partner, Sam Vulcano and Paralegal, Heather Berry attend the 2014 New York State AIA Design Convention Product Showcase on October 10th.  The Sugarman Law Firm is up to the minute on matters involving design professionals and is an AIA Continuing Education Provider. 
Partner, Brian Sutter is named to the list of “Legal Elite of Western New York 2014”. The joint publication from the Buffalo Law Journal and Business First pinpoints 17 of the community’s legal leaders and 144 members of a fraternity of attorneys who have earned the right to be called “elite”. Mr. Sutter manages the firm’s Buffalo office and devotes much of his practice to defending medical malpractice and design professional malpractice claims.
Sam Vulcano, Managing Partner of Sugarman Law Firm, LLP, has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 21st Edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of Professional Malpractice Law – Defendants.   Sam has been listed in Best Lawyers since 2007 and was named 2014 “Lawyer of the Year” for Professional Malpractice Law–Defendants Syracuse.
