February 12, 2013 Fogel Receives No Cause from Oswego County Jury
Partner Danielle Mikalajunas Fogel received a no cause from an Oswego County jury on Monday, February 11, 2013. Ms. Fogel represented a physician who was alleged to have failed to diagnose neurological Lyme Disease. The jury unanimously rejected the plaintiff's theory and determined that the physician was not negligent.
January 25, 2013 Bruffett Elected Town of Cicero Judge

January 9, 2013 Gumaer Presents to American Council of Engineering Companies
On January 9, 2013, Partner Matt Gumaer, Esq. offered a seminar for the local chapter of the ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies) with respect to the growing insistence of project owners on the inclusion of broad indemnity clauses in their Owner-Engineer agreements. Issues discussed included the risk associated with agreement to broad indemnity clauses, the insurability of the resulting obligations, and ways for design professionals to constructively raise and discuss these issues with project owners.
