Our History
Sugarman Law Firm was founded in downtown Syracuse, NY in 1909 by David Sugarman. It expanded to Buffalo, NY in 1997 and to Auburn, NY in 2005.
Mr. Sugarman based his business on a simple philosophy: “Understand every client. Listen to their needs. And represent them ethically and aggressively.” And he applied that philosophy in and out of the courtroom.
David Sugarman was a man of exceptional integrity and commanding presence. His reputation for excellence and leadership earned him the moniker of: “Dean of Trial Attorneys". And we honor that legacy every day as we work tirelessly to zealously represent each and every client.
While maintaining the Sugarman tradition as litigators, our firm today provides comprehensive legal services that include professional liability defense, insurance defense, business law, tax matters, real estate, estate and trusts, employment law and much more.
